Science expo

We had to choose from water energy, wind energy, solar ernergy. I searched water energy and then i found a water turbin and it looked cool so i did it. Because it looked easy and me and my mom decided to do it. I was working with calum and then calum decided to go with oliver so i was by myself. My turbine spined fine and and my pully system. My problems were that my light bulb did not light. On my poster i was happy but at the end i was stressing because all the other kids were done but i was not. I was filing fine and happy.

Pwerful verbs

I chose skateboarding because I  love doing it at home in the road.  Skateboarding is a lovely sport to do. I thought about it and the verbs sounded very good in this paragraph.

 

 

Informal settlement

A day in the life and home of a child in a informal settlement

My name is James. I live in cape town. When i stand up in the morning it is so cold. Live in a shack. I have a metal shack. I have a sola system in my house. 

I cook on a gas bottle. I wash my self which a bucket. We do not have pipes that take our water away. We do not have a loot of privacy because we are so on top one another. It is not so safe because our doors are not so hard as all the another. In 2007 there were 3.3 million people in shacks. I got up this morning and it was very cold. I went to school and there was a big flood and I hade to wake  through the river.

 In the schools there were 55 children in a classroom. It was not easy to get the teachers attention.My dad is blind. When he needs to go to the hospital we can only go at 5 a clock. In the morning I hade to go to school there was water dripping down the wall.

The one morning there was the biggest fire i have ever seen in my live. It was so sad to see all the houses on fire. It was 5 houses a way from our house.

We have a garden on the side of the house. We have a fire prove house which have sand bags on the sides. The roof is very strong it is so strong that we can put one more house on the top. 

The Camp

The grade 5 went on Camp,we went to high africa we,we went for  2 days from the 9 of March 2016. It was funny when my mom sour me live the school. The peoples names form camp where Bobby,and some more. The people help ous which every thing.At night the one day we went for a hike a round the camp it took as 45 min. Every day we could swim after the activities in the river. I was in a cabin which Ross,Eathan. On the why back Bobby give ous a sweet to eat in the bus. We got to live school 1 hour earlier.😎

ILT Soil Creature project

The ILT started on the  24,25 and 26 February. My ILT friend was Oliver. I loved me creature that Oliver and me did. We did the Ground Pangolin.  We sat at one desk the first day in the Computer room. We watched a video on the computer about soil creatures. 


Then we printed pictures of the hard drive.The next day we root all the info on pis of paper. Me and Oliver cut out the pictures in class room that we printed.Then we stuck the pictures on the poster. Then the next thing we did was we stuck the heading on the poster and then we stuck  the info.

Then we made a iMovie about our poster on Oliver's iPad.
